The Husband Takes Charge

Postby Ludwig » Mon Jan 18, 2010 10:00 pm

Does your husband take charge over the house before and right after pregnancy? Or do you still do the house chores even when you're pregnant? How do you get your husband get to do the chores for you when you were pregnant?

My wife is very demanding and she always gets what she wanted. I was like her slave when she bore our children. I did all the house cleaning, dish-washing, and laundry. :D

My ex-husband didn't do much when I was pregnant before. I don't think that he felt like it was necessary. He had children from earlier marriages, so maybe it was because it wasn't new to him? I'm not sure.

I did most of the stuff myself, the ones that were a little difficult like bending over to do things were done either by him or my brother, mostly my brother. How does she get you to do things? I may need that skill for the next time around.

I can say that my wife is more aggressive than me. Her threat when I don't follow her is that I can't enter the bedroom. I don't know if this will work on your husband but make sure that he doesn't go to another bedroom if you don't let him in to your bedroom.

But I do most of the things for my wife because I love her and I want to help with the chores.

How can my husband, daughter, and I share meals when I am the only one considering vegetarianism? I am strongly considering becoming a vegetarian. My husband does not want to stop eating meat, and would like our daughter to eat meat, although she rarely does because she dislikes most meat. How can I still buy groceries and cook meals for my family if I'm the only one not eating meat? I will not force my family to quit eating meat because I believe it is a choice they need to make on their own. I don't know how to cook a meal with meat in it for my family and not feel like a huge hypocrite. Also, I enjoy cooking and my husband hates it, so I can only imagine he and my daughter would end up eating tuna and mac & cheese for the rest of their lives. Any ideas? Am I just screwed?
